So, we have all heard that you should be getting 10,000 steps a day in, but what are the actual benefits?

Here are 10 benefits to taking 10,000 steps a day:

  • Improve heart health- it helps the increase the amount of oxygenated blood being sent to your muscles
  • Strengthen your lungs- can raise your V02 max
  • Improves concentration- releases indorphins, and premotes good blood flow to your brain
  • Strengthens your bones- stress of walking improves bone density
  • Builds muscle- strain in muscles helps them grow
  • Stabilizes blood sugar- adding glucose to your bloodstream
  • Help lower blood pressure- decreases bloodflow restriction
  • Improves flexability- your muscles get stretched through walking
  • Boosts energy levels- fights fatigue through circulation

These are a few of the many amazing benefits that adding more steps into your day will do!
